This may or may not be an Aloha issue, but it is on the Aloha system.

We have a store that has their logo printing out on the guest checks (on an older 4.2 system). It has since changed ownership, and they no longer want it there. For the life of me, I could not find anything relating to this on the back office, in my attempts to turn it off.

So I guess that leaves one of three possibilities:

1) It's hidden somewhere in the system, and I just don't see it.

2)It's one of those glorious modifications that you have to do something cryptic to add or remove, like edit an ini file.

3) It's programmed directly into the epson printer itself. I am sort of doubting this one, but I guess it's possible.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Your third guess is correct. There is a program called TMFlogo.exe that will add and delete logos off of your epson printer. I am guessing it is a tm-88, you can look for that program on google, but you might need to contact your reseller to either do it for you. I wish I could say anyone can do it, but you need to know a few of the com port settings. Hope this helps, if you get the program and need more help with the settings, let me know.

I guess I should have mentioned another way of fixing this. I'm not sure about on 4.2 (since it's REALLY ancient), but on newer versions all you have to do is go into "Maintenance"-"Hardware"-"Printers". Drop down the menu and click onto one of the receipt printers. On the first tab there should be a check box that says "Use pre-loaded logo", uncheck it and you should be good to go. I don't know if this will work on your version, but it's the best I can do on such an old version!!

Adamn, you're the man.

As this was not common a common request among our customers (it slows down the speed the check is printed something firece), I had only a vague recollection of someone once saying it had to be loaded directly on to the printer. Unfortunately, it had been such a long time, I couldn't remember if it was this was the case, or if I confused it with something else. Either way, it gives me some place to start. If I run into any other snags, I will let you know.

Thanks so much.
