We will be changing internal Ip addresses to a different range. We have several (about 20) HP printers that are connected to our network. When we change IP addresses I can use HP's Webjet Admin to change the Ip addresses on the printers. But then we will have to go to every computer (about 160. multiply that by 20 printers each computer) and change the ip addresses. I was wondering if anyone knew of an easier way to change everyones printer ip rather than going to the printers section in windows and clicking configure to change the ip.

If you are using HP Jet Admin on the PC's, they will get updated automatically. But if you just use standard TCP/IP ports, then I am not sure of a way to do it.

I know when we add new printers we had a Standard tcp/ip port. then put in the ip address.

Why not simply share the printers off of a file and print server? The pcs then point to a share, so if you make a change on the server in terms of ip addressing for the printers, it doesn't affect your client workstations.

This is late for your current dilemma, but may be a consideration for the future.
