printer issue

I have a win2k machine share a hp laserjet 1200 printer in a workgroup.

I'm having trouble getting a xp machine to print to the shared printer.

I'll browse to the computer sharing. It's there but the printer doesn't drop down to install.

computer sharing printer: administrator\hplaserj
has tcpip port #
has a port name

I've tried just typing in \\administrator\hplaserj but I can't get the printer working.

Any suggestions?

On the XP client, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services.

Check all the settings for the Print Spooler service. Is it started and running? Are the permissions/Log On correct?

Are all the dependent services enabled, started and running?
