OK a user filled up my print queue qith about 2000 jobs. I used the qcan command and it stopped working because I ran out of space in my var/spool/lpd/qdir, which is filled with these other jobs. Problem is that I can't delete any of these temp files no matter what I try. I've tried the rm -i *, command, and del with the file name copied and pasted in there, it always tells me that the parameter list is too long or that A file or directory in the path name does not exist. This is driving me nuts!! Why can't I delete any files in this directory? Thanks in advance!

eventually got all the files deleted with a shell script my friend wrote, thanks
