Environment: MetaFrame 1.8 for Server 2000
I have a remote user with a new Lexmark E210. The printer was not auto creating, so I followed the instructions from Citrix knowledge base CTX681954. I downloaded a windows 2000 driver from the Lexmark website, and installed a 'phantom' Lexmark so that the drivers would install on the server. When I added the printer from the users's session, it created the port, and I was able to print a test page. However, the user is unable to print from any application. The error is: "An error occurred when printing started...." I have gone into the wtsuprn.inf file, but there is no equivalent driver listed for this particular printer.

Any ideas would be appreciated
Kristine

Thanks, CitrixEngineer.
The drivers listed in that document ar mostly for Lexmark Optra and other versions that do not match this printer. I do not think it is a driver issue at all. I double checked to be sure that the name of the driver on the client side was identical to the name on the server, which it was. I understand that the function of wtspurn.inf is to make them match if they are not consistent?

The other reason that I don't beleive it is a driver issue is because I can print a test page, and also web pages print fine. The errors occur when the client tries to print from Word, Outlook & Excel.

I also tried to connect the printer as a local printer, and came up with the same scenario.

Any other ideas?
Since the client did not consult me before purchasing the printer, I am tempted to ask him to exchange it for one that will be compatible. Can anyone recommend a brand that won't give me fits?

Many thanks,
Kristine
