Printer Hell

getting confused. added a printer. printed a test page. however. when I want to print a mozilla email = nothing.

email printer settings says printer = "PostScript/default
I have the printer in print config printing to:
/dev/lp0

something = simple I am doing wrong?

any ideas?

One question, are you using CUPS?

using redhat 8.0 for the moment.

no cups?
printer is a canon 85

Open your webbrowser and put open the following URL:

http://localhost:631/printers

Make sure your printer is configured properly there. I find that after install CUPS (Common Unix Printing System), the printer seems to print better.
