Hello. We need a printer for printing addresses directly onto pre-printed postcards (4x6 and 5.5x8.5). Usually on the backside. Light to medium duty (1000-2500) per month.

Thanks.

HP is not the way I'd go...almost all of them have around-the-bend paper paths. (although I much prefer HP printers). I have an old Epson stylus 400c that has an almost straight through paper path. I haven't looked at new printers in months, so I don' thave any better ideas...

We've been pretty happy with our Xerox 8400 solid ink printer. Straight path from tray 1. Pretty reliable feed. Quick for both b/w and color.

I used to own a Canon LBP-4 with a straight thru paper path.
The thing was so slow, that nothing ever got jammed in it.
Was about as exciting as watching grass grow.
