I am trying to install a new driver on a Windows NT 4.0 server running SP6a and I receive the message "unable to change to the specified driver, original settings will be restored." I have check MS KB Article 234530 but it was of no help. Anyone have any suggestions?

So you are trying to install a new driver to an already installed printer? What if you create a new printer, does it take the driver that way?

Also, if you aren't having problems, do you really want to mess with this? You could blue screen that server, and reboot to who knows what...

Matt J.

Please always take the time to backup any and all data before performing any actions suggested for ANY problem, regardless of how minor a change it might seem. Also test the backup to make sure it is intact.
