Printer drivers for Windows on Linux server?

I need to make available the windows drivers for our networked printers. The server (slackware 7.1) hosts our two HP servers, and handles via samba (2.2.x)to windows machines (win2K). The powers that be want to be able to have the drivers downloaded when they add a printer through the APW in windows. I can't find a procedure on how to do this anywhere. I know it can be done, since it is running on servers in another location that I'm remote administering. Can someone walk me through this? Pretty much I know it will involve SAMBA, but beyond that, I'm clueless. I'm a Windows Admin that has been handed the reigns for the linux network here, and I'm splashing around a tad over my head.

Any help will be greatly appreciated,
Hobbes

Hey,

Check this part out, and it would be a good idea to read the rest of the document.

This is one of the official HOW-TO's for Samba. This way you can also take a look at the samba config files and see if there is anything that needs to be changed.

If you know it works on another print server then you can also take a look at that config file to get an idea of where things go.

Hope that helps! J.R. Juiliano
