I have a w2k server as a print spooler for about 50 HP printers of various types on my network. I use standard TCP/IP printer ports.
I am trying to install a new HP LaserJet 2430 printer onto the spooler, but get the error "Printer driver cannot be installed. Operation cannot continue". I have tried the installation with another spooler that has similar types of printers installed on it with the same result. However, I have yet another spooler that only has a few printers installed on it (mix of hp2200's and 5si's). I was able to install the 2430 on it with no problem.
Seems like there is a driver conflict somewhere, but I know not where. Has anyone had this error? If so, is there some way to determine which existing printer is in conflict with the 2430? Thanks!
