Is there a way of telling (eg. via a registry key or .ini file) if a particular (network) printer has colour printing capabilities.

Why - I need to generate a crystal report that outputs our company logo in colour if using a colour printer, but in solid black (NOT grayscale) if using a non-colour printer.

You can go to teh printer, and look at the toner cartridge.
Also, since you have the printer drivers on your computer, it should have the printers name, look up that printer on the internet, and it will tell you if its color. If you are still unable to tell. Print it out,see if its color or not.
