Basic Network Structure:
Corporate Office w/ all servers
|
|-- WAN: Location 1
|-- WAN: Location 2
.....
Locations need to print from their local machine to network printers in their respective locations, all the printers are setup on a windows 2003 R2 server that is also a DC. I do have sites & services setup and it seems I am successfully adding printers based on the site the computer is in regardless of what OU the user is in (which is what I want), just starting to really roll out with this as I'm actively pulling printers off other servers now and putting them all on one.
BUT here's the kicker -- our "enterprise app" runs exclusively on a terminal server for all of the locations that are NOT at the corporate office. I do have a number of users that regularly roam between sites and login to the terminal server from multiple lications. Even looking through various scripts posted here and a _little_ searching around I've not found anything thats fairly easy or straight forward about this. I CAN always fall back to using the user's primary OU for printer install but it would be nice to map the printers to the TS based on the remote machine the user is using, I don't really want to use the connect printers over the RDP connections if I don't have to.
Any ideas about how to keep this nice and uniform?
