Hi all,
I've got this printer installed on the network. Now I am having this problem. Whenever a user log in to the network, he/she can print at first. After a while he/she can no longer print from the printer. You got to log out and log in again then only you can print. What could be the problem? Please advice and thanx alot.

Please provide more information. Such as, printer type, connection method (networked direct or shared via PC), error messages (if any), are documents being queued, can the user see the printer properties, etc.?

I think its a brother printer. Its a normal printer not a network printer so it is shared via a PC.There was no error message and no document queue. The printer just don't print. Then ht euser got to log out then log in again...only then the printer will print. Please advice...thanx.

First I suggest trying to reinstall the printer. Especially the drivers. When the user logs off the PC and back on, it's basically reloading the driver. Be sure to remove all the printer software and boot without the printer to ensure that there are no left over pieces of printer code hanging around. Then reinstall the printer following the manufacturers instructions. Also, be sure you have the latest and greatest printer driver of that particular model.
