Despite my experiments with printer settings and color profiles, the prints from my Canon iP2600 are far too pale.
The advice posted online is to perform a calibration process, but I cannot find out how to do this. The advice says to change settings in the 'driver settings dialog'. Is this dialog window only available in PC software? I have gone through all the settings available to me in Mac OS (10.5.8), but have not been able to perform a calibration.
I have tried printing using a wide range of color profiles, but the difference they make is negligible. I don't think it is a subtle 'color profile' issue, as the effect I require is to make the prints much much darker. For instance, if I try to print a deep indigo colour (C58, M50, Y0, K30), what I get on the print is sky blue!
Any help in 'getting under the hood' of the iP2600 would be gratefully received.
