Users that are part of the Administrators group can print to autocreated printers
Users that are not have problems. These vary from the printer not auto creating, to the printer auto creating but the remote printer does not print the job etc.
Anybody come across this issue before ?

Also, does Metaframe 1.8 SP2 support USB printers. I have read it does but when setup they fail.

Got exactly the same problem. I'm researching it, and if I get it figured out, I'll let you know.

I figured a way around it. Install the printers as local to the citrix server and assign permissions for domain users to use and manage.

The problem may have been that the users did not have permissions to install the printer driver. The autocreated printers must have a driver available to print to.

This can be mapped in the WTSPRN file or the printer driver can be installed on the server. Now that you have installed the printer's as local (or really networked printers, you've essentially turned the MetaFrame server into a print server) can users login and autocreate the printer? My guess is that they can. Normally you simply need to install the printer on the server as an Admin, then delete the printer leaving the driver installed. Then the user autocreated printers will work.

Depending on the USB printers you are using they may or may not work. If they are HP USB printers there are some known issues with some models. Check for information regarding your specific USB printers and Terminal server compatiblity on the manufacturer's website.
