Printer auto-creation failed mapping to hp psc 2100 series

Does anyone know what driver will work with this HP All-In-One printer? I cant find the driver anywhere!

There are some that are not supported by Citrix, I am afraid to say.

Since this is an InkJet based printer using HP PCL 3 enhanced, first driver to try is the DeskJet 550C.

Thanks - I installed the 550C driver on my Citrix server, is there anything that I need to do on the client side as well? Or will Citrix automatically map the client printer to the 550C driver on the server?

You need to map the HP psc 2100 to the HP DeskJet 550C using the Citrx Print Driver Mapping. What version of Presentation Server/MetaFrame are you using, so I can tell you exactly where this is done and what your options are?

Think I figured it out - I went into Printer Management > Drivers > Driver Mapping and mapped Client Driver: psc 2100 series to Server Driver: HP DeskJet 550C.

Will that do it?

As long as the name you typed in exactly matches that of the client. You can verify that in the Application Event Log.

You could try letting the UPD II Driver autocreate this printer. It uses the LaserJet 4500 Driver.

Hi Patrick,

Sorry but I am a newbie to Citrix. How do I force the UPD II driver to autocreate the printer? When I go into Printer Management > Drivers I see the HP Color LaserJet 4500 (MetaFrame PCL5c Universal Driver) listed, when I go into the properties it shows Client Driver: hp psc 2350 series \ Server Driver: HP DeskJet 550C. So which driver is it actually using, the LaserJet 4500 or the DeskJet 550C?

BTW - Originally I stated that the driver in question was "hp psc 2100 series" but after investigating the event logs I found that the driver is actually "hp psc 2350 series".
