Hey,

I'm working on a small invoice-dbase.

I want to print each invoice twice, one "original" for the customer and a "copy" to be kept for my accounting.

Is it possible in some way to print these words on my report, mentioning the word "original" on the first print-out and "copy" on the second one ?

Reg,

Peter

Create a control in the Report Header or Page Header that has a control source of the following:

=[Original or Copy?: ]

When the report prints it will prompt the user once for an entry. That entry will then be printed in this control throughout the report if a PageHeader control and just once on the first page if a Report Header control.

Post back if this option is not what you want. There are other ways to do this but a little bit more complicated.

Another method is to create a table "tblCopies" with a single, text field "Copy". Add records with the values "Copy" and "Original". Add this table to your report's record source with no join lines. Add the Copy field to the grid. In the report sorting and grouping, first sort and group by Invoice and then by Copy. You can place a page bread control in the Copy group footer.

Hey,

Thanks both for your feedback.

Based upon feedback from Bob, I used the parameter query with success.

I haven't had time to test your solution Duane. Sorry.

Kind regards,

Peter
