Hi Friends,

I have a 40 column receipt being used in a
guest hostel for sales.

I have created a noraml report to print a receipt for
foodstuff bought. One copy for customer and the other
for the kitchen.

The receipts are usually small with an average of
maybe 3 items. But when I print even with NOEJECT clause included (vfp6) the printer unrolls a big chuck of paper to waste. (I am using those rolls!)

How can I adjust the frx to print upto the last line only
without throwing so much paper to waste?

Thanks

Found this on MSDN:

Basically it says don't use a report, use '?' commands to output the data to the printer.

The issue also pops up on the other end - if the receipt is really long, the printer will have a page gap or cut the receipt (if the printer cuts of course) in the middle of the receipt.

Sorry, I did not test it yet. I downloaded it long time ago, but I did not have requirement for it.
