Print with empty header and footer from IE and FF

Hi, does anybody know if it is possible to control that IE and FF uses empty headers and footers when printing a webpage, or is that only manageable locally on a users computer?

Unfortunately it's only manageable locally on a users computer from my experience.

It is possible on IE which is less picky about websites modifying browser specific options. Cannot be done in other browsers though.
