I have a report set up , however

Certain values need to be printed only if a
the field is populated

something along the lines of

If {table.column} is not null then

"the value is "table.column" "

else (i.e when null) no line is printed

A complete novice here so any/all help greatly appreciated

Dear Buzzmeister,

When you say no line should be printed, do you mean the section on the report where the field is displayed, for example details?

If so, then right click on the gray area to the left of the section, choose format section and then click the x-2 next to suppress no drill down, do not check the box, click the x-2 formula editor button and enter:

Isnull({Table.Field})

replacing Table.Field with your field name.

By the way, you get better assistance if you post the version of Crystal, the database, and the connectivity to the database.

Regards,
