Is it possible to print from Win7 64bit host to a HP Laserjet 1000 printer installed in xpmode ? The catch is there are no win7 drivers for that printer. Just looking for a workaround. Thanks

Have you Shared the Printer in XP, and can Windows 7 see the Printer? If so give it a go and see what happens. The installed XP Driver might be enough to get a print out. Can the Document file that you are printing be transferred to XP from Windows 7 and then printed directly from XP?

How to find a compatible printer driver for a computer that is running a 64-bit version of Windows

If it was my printer I could live with transfering but I can't expect a user on my network to do that for each print job. I've tried a few different drivers but no luck.

There isn't a driver for a lj5mp either, but I used the default driver for the LJ2200 PCL5 and it worked just fine. Mine was through a print server, and never had a problem, till the HP had a fuser issue, and I found it was time to replace the printer.
