Anyone got any ideas about how to get the print to file feature of Lotus Approach to work. I have Lotus Approach 96 and a HP Deskjet 930C printer. I can create a print file easily enough from the print dialog box, but how do I get to print that file later? or better still open it with Wordpro to amend it. If you could print a report to an external application such as a wordprocessor this would be useful for tweaking a final printout - eg changing the color of certain rows which is not easy from Approach itself.

Thanks,

Vince

When you print to a file using a real printer driver like your HP 930C, the file is not editable as it is in a format that only the printer can use. You cannot open it in a word processor or any program that I am aware of! If you print to the Generic/Text printer type, you lose most of the formatting, but the result is editable. This printer driver comes with Windows and is easily installed.

On printing a print file, according to the Windows Help:
If the document is not open, drag the document from My Computer or Windows Explorer to your printer in the Printers folder.
