is it possible to force to print a background image? My aim is to print an image that actually is not in the webpage. I could set it as a background in a stylesheet for the print, but it won't print it because it is a background....

any ideas? thanks

The user can opt to print background images - it's generally set in the browser config. As a web developer, it's not something you can force the client to do.

IE:
Click 'Tools'
Click 'Internet Options'
Click the 'Advanced' tab
Scroll down to 'Printing'
Check the box marked 'Print background colors and images'

Mozilla:
Click 'File'
Click 'Page Setup'
Check the box marked 'Print Background (colors and images)'
