I am having a printing problem. I am using a linksys 10/100 print server plugged into an HP 2100 laserjet. The printserver is being mapped to by an NT Back Office server with SP5 on LPT2 via net use and persistent:yes with a share hplaserj. The NT workstations are then capturing lpt2 \\server\hplaserj on thier login script and have the driver set to port lpt2. The problem is intermittent but I've seen it before. A print job will be sent and it will get to the server queue and then an infinite loop will begin. The job will spool then delete then spool then delete..... Almost as if the server was spooling to it's own queue. But if I type net use at a prompt..the printserver is OK. Already tried a new printserver and even set it to 10 Mbs. Any suggestions?

You don't need the server to capture lpt2. End that capture and see if that cures the problem. Or if you feel you do need it, set it to print directly to printer.
