There is a neat little print spooler that may help your legacy DOS programs survive a bit longer. PrintFile is a freeware MS Windows utility program to print files of vrious types. This is especially helpful for those who have legacy DOS programs that need to print but have trouble getting the print job to the printer. For example, you just bought a USB printer, but, oh no, DOS is totally USB unaware! Besides having the ability to select files and direct them to the printer, this Windows utility can also monitor a user-specified directory and whenever a file is copied or created there it can automatically send it to the printer and thereafter delete it. - dbMark
