What can do this in linux, or other software?
I need to be able to print to a spool file on a spooler.
Change the quantity from one to a larger quantity.
And release the job to my postscript printer.
In the latest and greatest release Adobe Indesign 3.0 and Acrobat 7.0 professional the software sends a stream of pages without any indication of a document break to my postscript printer rather than sending one set of the document and then printing it N times through the Postscript. Because of this, my printer can not know how to offset stack, staple or cover insert. Brilliant.
I have seen the question before, but no answers. I have spoken to Xerox, maker of my printer, and they said it is a known issue. But no ready solution.
I was wondering if Samba or other tools exist to get around this issue?
