The environment: SBS 2003, mostly 32-bit XP Pro clients plus a few 64-bit Windows 7 Pro clients.
The problems: How to add 64-bit drivers to managed IP printers for the Win7 clients? If the 64-bit driver installers from HP don't crash right away on SBS, then the 64-bit drivers themselves are rejected by SBS.
My workaround: Install the printers on Win7 with separate drivers and connect directly to the IP address. It works, but it is inconvenient. Of course, it does mitigate spooler load. Still...
Am I missing an obvious solution or is this one of those things that must be endured?
Thanks
