Hi all,

Can anyone please advise me or provide a sample script to print in Unixware 7? I can't use the printer setup manager because I am printing to a printer on an HP JetDirect. I also did not have any luck with hpnpcfg since the printer is not HP, but an old Panasonic dotmatrix printer.

The print server has the address 192.168.1.254 and I want to print to the printers on ports 9100, 9101 and 9102.

Thanks in advance.

Use netcat:

You probably should read the beginning of that FAQ too so that you understand these scripts better.

BUT:

The hp stuff is just scripts- you can modify the port numbers in the wrapper script. See
The hp scripts don't care what's connected to the print server- it's what YOU choose for an interface script that determines that. You can use a dumb or ibmproprinter or whatever the heck you want- hpnpcfg doesn't care.
