When I have a window open so that it cover the entire screen, I hit the print screen button. I paste it in whatever program I want and I get a partial desktop print screen and partial what I really wanted. No matter what I do, I can't get a legit print screen of the FULL screen.

Any ideas?
Thanks

hookette,

CTRL+Print Screen. Open Paint>Edit>Paste. You will have a copy of the Whole Screen. Click on File>Save As to any folder you want.

spool

ALT+Print Screen places a copy of the active window onto the clipboard.

Wierd Windows fact. If you want to capture a still frame from Windows Media Player, you pause at the frame you want to capture, right-click on the desktop, Properties, Advanced, Troubleshooting, and move the hardware acceleration slider all the way to the left. Return to Media Player and Alt-Print Screen to capture as discussed above.
Odd, no?
