Hi - I have an extensive menu system with submovies and subsubmovies - and a lot of these movies display text or dynamic text boxes. It's our department's intranet site.

A problem I foudn - is that if you click on the "print" icon in MSIE it only prints what happens to be the first frame in Scene1. IT doesn't print any of the information in any other frame that might be displayed on the screen.

Question - is there a button w/ a function I can create that will print the current information on the screen?

Did you try printing from the right mouse button's context menu, if you haven't dissabled it? And if it does work to your satisfaction, point your intranet users to use that print command!

how do you enable it? It is apparently disabled

If you're using the Publish feature to output the html holding your .swf, make sure the Display Menu box is checked under the html tab in the Publish Settings.

If not check the html that holds your .swf and remove the following bold parameters in the <object> and <embed> tags:

<OBJECT classid=&quot;clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000&quot;
codebase=
Code:
&quot;[URL unfurl="true"]http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=5,0,0,0&quot;[/URL]
WIDTH=600 HEIGHT=400>
<PARAM NAME=movie VALUE=&quot;tween.swf&quot;> <PARAM NAME=loop VALUE=false> <PARAM NAME=menu VALUE=false> <PARAM NAME=quality VALUE=high> <PARAM NAME=bgcolor VALUE=#999999> <EMBED src=&quot;tween.swf&quot; loop=false menu=false quality=high bgcolor=#999999 WIDTH=600 HEIGHT=400 TYPE=&quot;application/x-shockwave-flash&quot; PLUGINSPAGE=
Code:
&quot;[URL unfurl="true"]http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash&quot;[/URL]
></EMBED>
</OBJECT>
</BODY>
</HTML>

Hey that option is already set for the menu. What is wierd is that the text is set to &quot;selectable&quot; and when you right-click you dont' get the &quot;print&quot; option. Besides, I can't imagine users would think to right-click. Is there a way I can create a button which will print the current screen? I think that is the only answer since MSIE won't print the correct content.... any more suggestion - thanks so far! :)

Curious to why you would set the text fields to &quot;selectable&quot; but anyways...
Rather than having a button, you could allways have a line of text saying &quot;hit the right mouse button to print&quot;!

But there is apparently a better way to do this: check Creating Printable Movies under Help->Using Flash.

Cool - thanks - yeah - I don't know why I set them to &quot;selectable&quot; either - I guess I *thought* someone would think to copy and paste the info... but then I realized that &quot;no, they wouldn't&quot;... So I can now right-click anywhere onthe screen and it prints right up.

I'll take a look at the help stuff - thanks for your help!!
