Using RM version 7.00.03, what is the best method of being able to preview reports on screen?

One option is to remove carriage control and use blank lines where necessary and output your print file to a .txt, line-sequential, file. This way you can preview it in notepad and use the notepad's print facility to print it if you wish.

Try looking at FormPrint by Flexus.
It's a tool which allows you to print great looking forms using the Windows Print Manager and ANSI Standard COBOL. FormPrint supports fonts, colors, bitmaps line drawing and many other features to make your forms look as professional as possible.

Hi

You have two chances:

1) Use the PDF995 from and installing this device driver you'll be able to see all the print jobs sent to this device as a pdf file, with the possibility to see the pdf file running automatically the Acreobar Reader...

2) Take a look at There is a free report builder with preview features... It is so easy to program it and you can see the result on a print preview form.
There are also some examples written using cobol (RM and Fujitsu).

Hope in this help..

Gianni
