Have a W2K PC printing to a HP 2200 network printer. The problem is, the print jobs will not clear themselves from the print Q. When the PC is shutdown for the day, and then powered up the next day, All the print jobs from the previous day start printing again....???? help

I too have a similar problem, only it isn't a network printer. My Canon BJC2000 is connected directly to my W2K Pro machine. When the first job gets sent to the print queue, it prints, but its status still says "Printing" long after it's finished. Any other jobs that get sent to the print queue just sit there waiting for the first one to "finish". I have to stop the Print Spooler service and restart it again to be able to print again.

This is just bizarre behavior and I'm not sure what caused it. It used to work just fine. I've tried reinstalling the printer drivers and re-adding the printer back into the Printers listing. (Bnikman, maybe you can try that and see if that works for you.)

The only things I can think of that have changed on the computer is installing Windows Updates and having problems with some USB devices (the printer isn't USB though, it's parallel). Do I need to get a new printer??
