I have a macro that sorts and directly prints all Word documents in a folder without opening them. It works fine. However when there are a large number of documents in the folder, then part-way through the print job the documents do not always print in sorted order. Could it be that Windows limits the memory available to the print queue and when it gets filled the current document goes directly to the printer out of sequence? I don't know. Any help would be appreciated. Turning off background printing in Word helps, but if the number of documents is very large, I still have the problem.
