Print Queue down

Anybody has an idea what would cause a print queue to go down .

The console had something like;

781-088 Queue nhp2_ps:hp@nhp2 went down, job is still queued


Now everything is back to normal but wish to prevent this.

That looks like a remote print queue, so its likely it was not reachable over the network for a period of time.

comms failure to printer
printer switched off
printer out of paper
failure of jetdirect card / port

etc, etc, etc.....

I guess since it wasn't off and now its working it must be a temporary network problem.

Is there a way to increase the network retries before the system reports an error ?
