I am setting up a DP-300U print server.... when connecting to the printer via windows xp - all looks good until I click... FINISHED. Then I get an error:
"unable to install printer. The print processor does not exist"... Any ideas?
The print processor is a different fish than the printer driver.
You may have to pre-install a print processor. The intallation routine should have done this. Call the manufacturer, if you are trying to "push" a print processor to a network printer server, you need Admini rights locally on the device; create the printer as a local or network share; share the device; and then install the printer drivers as local devices to the workstations.
There are some issues I have seen with using the replacement DU print processor on occasions. I would use Googel, the "Groups" option very thoroughly on this one before installing a new print processor, there are alternatives. Google, Groups "DP-300U"
