When I try to print-preview the page, receive a:

"IE script error",
Line 220,
char 1,
dialogArguments.__IE_ContentDocumentUrl is null/not object,
code 0,
URL: res://C:\windows\system\SHDOCLC.DLL /preview.dlg,
want to continue Y/N ...

and does not matter what I answer, locks up the preview screen only accepting the
closing button.
I've reinstalled IE5.50.4522.1800IS and has not helped.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi Tucumano,

There are three solution to this problem:

1) Running the internet explorer tool should help(it basically helps to verify any corrupt files and repair them), in order to do that you can do two things:

Go to Start>Control Panel>Settings>Add/Remove Programs>GO to Internet Explorer(version U r running)>click on add/remove key>click on radio button..and there u go.

Secondly, u can do Start>Run>type in msinfo32..and then tools>Run Internet Explorer Repair tool.

2 Solution:

Go to Start>Run>type in regedit.
Open the registry..go to Local Current User>Software>Microsoft>Internet Explorer>PageSetup.
Rename the Key PageSetup.
Close the registry.
Open the Internet Explorer.
Print.
The PageSetup key will be re-generated.
and then u can go ahead and delete the re-named key.

3 Solution:

Check the iepeers.dll version stored under Windows/System/iepeers.dll and replace it with the same version..if this file gets corrupted then preview.dlg error hits.

I hope this helps all the people who go through with nasty little scipt error.

thanks,t.
