print out a file from a flash button 1

hello ppl!

guess what, im here with a new question again!

ok here's whats been bugging me:

i need a button that when clicked, prints out the contents of a .doc file to the user.

how can i do this? the button is present on an htlml file.

hi big,

don't know of a way to print a doc file directly, I reckon that's a javascript issue which somone else might know.

However, what about converting the doc to a txt file and calling it into a dynamic-text-box? If you made a new movie for this, A4 size, and made the text box teh same size, added a #p label to the frame the text box is in, you would be able to print the contents no problem.

There was a thread on printing last week so it shouldn;t be hard to find. Sorry if this ain't an option for you but it's all i can think of at the minute.

actually dav that idea is worth a try, however i am still cloduy as to how to do that exactly! could u show me a sample or else point me to that thread you r refering to?

i hope u dont mind this request, im still trying to find out how to navigate through tek-tips without bieng overwhelmed by its content!
