print options come out very slow

Whenever I want to print anything from IE 5.5 sp2. Click file, print, the next screen will take about 15 - 20 seconds to appear. Even if I use the print icon on the menu it is still the same. My computer is connected to the network(netware 5.1) But I dont have to wait this long when I am printing from word or excel.

What is your operating system? How are you connected to the Internet? Dial-up modem? DSL? T3? T1?

Do you have the AVG ( or any other ) Outlook Express plugin, enabled ?
Try disabling it - my OE performance improved greatly once the plugin was removed.
Go to AVG Control Centre, Email Scanner tab to uncheck the plugin.

I am using win 2000. I connect to the internet using a T1 line. Loding of webpages is just fine. But the problem comes when a fully loaded page is to be printed. I will have to wait quite a while before I am able to click ok to print.

jmatt, I dont use outlook express or outlook at all. I am using Lotus Notes as my email client.
