Hi. Is there a way to log where print jobs are coming from? Let's say I'm a user, I install a printer that is listed in the Active Directory, and I print to it regularly. Is there a way to look at the logs on the server to see if the print jobs came from me, either by username or IP address?

I want to set-up a network inkjet colour printer for our facility, but we need to know where the print jobs are coming from so that we can bill the appropriate dept. if there's abuse. I could add the printer to the server via a TCP/IP port and then share it and list it in the active directory. I tried to set up a system counter for a test print queue, but it doesn't give me info about "where" individual jobs are from.

Can someone help me out, or perhaps suggest a different approach to what I want to do?

Thanks...
