Print Layout View vs. Normal View in Word 2000 1

Quick question.

I have a word document with various graphic elements (screenshots) inserted with accompanying text.

Now when I view the document in normal view these elements are not visible. The text is however it is not formatted properly.

Now when I adjust the view to Print Layout everything is fine and I can view all graphics.

Why is this happening?

Sounds to me like you've got different zooms.

It's normal that normal view does not show graphics. It's not intended to.

Print layout is supposed to show you graphics, as well as the edge of the paper. I always use print layout. It displays a more realistic view of how the document will look.

However, the only true way to get a real idea of what it will look like is Print preview (File-Print Preview).

As for the wrong font formatting, I suspect this:

You may have your zoom in normal to be 100 percent, and your zoom in Print layout may be at 80 percent. Larger zooms can actually make your text appear bold when it isn't.

Also, it could be a display problem due to lack of resources. That's common. To restore your resources, follow the hard drive cleanup instructions at:
