I have a number of HP 4050 printers on my network and they are all setup the same, however two of can some times take ages to print the jobs - the jobs are not big and are usually work docs.
sometimes you can wait 5 minutes for the prints to come out.
I am using a print server on a Windows 2000 network, there is plenty of resources on the server and all the printers have the latest firmware. They are all using the wrong drivers this is because of an application we are using so I am using the HPIIID Drivers - this has not caused me any problems with any other printers.

Are the print servers HP or other brand? Are they using tcp/ip, or another protocol? I've had regular problems with off-brand print servers using lpr/lpd and frequent pauses, but that has been primarily on NT 4.0.

Sorry I have installed all of the printers on a server and shared them out - they are all using the standard tcp/ip protocol with jetdirect cards
