doe's anyone know of a utility that will allow a printer to print and also save that print job to disk incase there was a printer jam so I can just reprint from the captured file?

Kind regards

Mike

I've not tried it, but on my 2K3 server there is a "Keep Printed documents" on the printer's Advanced properties tab which, if ticked, doesn't delete jobs from the queue after they have finished printing, so you can restart it from the printer without having to reprint it. Note that this uses up lots of disk space on the spool directory though.

Not sure if this facility exists on other operating systems or not, but is worth checking.
