Hi,

We have about 35 TDS3012 oscope models with floppy drives and parallel port outputs. We lost the ability to use the floppy option when new computers were purchased.

Rather than buying dozens of USB floppy drives, can anyone tell me if it's possible to send printer data via a parallel cable into a PC's parallel port? Do I need a special custom cable?

If it is possible, can I program a parallel port capture that will route the oscope data into a networked LAN printer? Could this be accomplished with a C program while sending the proper printing control signals back to the oscope?
