print from dos, old printer fine, new printer text is not lined up

Hi,

I had an hp 1300 and upgraded to a 4300. I am printing out of a dos application, and text that used to come out exactly as shown on the screen is now coming out, but it is not lining up like it used to. It's almost as if spacing is ignored.
nothing else changed in the upgrade.

It sounds like the 4300 may be using a different font. Were you specifying a specific font or just taking the default?

If you are using the default, maybe the 4300 is set to one of the proportional fonts. Change it to Courier at the control panel and see what happens.
