Is there a way to print the contents of a formula on a report? I keep getting asked what fields make up a specific equation, and it would be nice just to have the formula print at the bottom of the report so the requestor will always know.

Thanks.

You could always copy the formula contents into a text box, although this wouldn't be dynamic.

Thanks for the reply, but the formula does get changed and would need to be dynamic.

You could do something like create a text box which instructs the user how to export the report definition file and then open it in notepad. The report definition file includes formula contents (among other things). If the user is exporting it, the formula contents will always be up-to-date.

For Crystal 8.5, the [Export] options include [Report Definition], which lists all of the formulas and other stuff. Not neat, but usable.

Export is the icon of the envelope with the downward pointing arrow.
