I have an asp page that has a an onload event that brings up the print dialog box.

If I send the file(page) via email using the IE menu "File" and Send, Page by email, when the recipiant gets the file the print dialog box opens. Is there a way to stop this from happening when its being sent as an email?

Thanks

Get the user to disable JavaScript in their email client. Aside from that, I don't think so, no... after all, you're sending them copy of the page.

It might be possible to test "document.location" using scripting to determine whether to print or not... but I have no idea if this is a good solution or not. It might be worth asking this in the JavaScript forum (forum216) if you decide to check it out.

Hope this helps,
Dan
