print config menu on a laserjet 4 plus

Could someone tell me how to print the config menu on a laserjet 4 plus printer? I change the setting to offline and then go through the menu items until I find the config menu, but don't know where to go from there. (I'm trying to install the printer on a network via an IP.)

I don't have a 4 anymore but if I remember correctly you should press menu to information menu then the item menu twice to print configuration. If this doesn't work leave a post and I will look at some of my books.

HrTech advice is actually for a lj 4000. On a 4,4+ or 5 you have to scroll to the self tests menu and do a self test. At least I think that is right. Hopefully so anyhow. Hope it works.

Hi All:

Thanks for all of your replies. In case anyone else needs to do this, the following steps worked for me:

HP LaserJet 4 Plus and HP LaserJet 4m Plus printers
Press the printer's ON LINE button to take the printer offline.
Press the Control Panel MENU button until TEST MENU appears on the

display.
Press ITEM until SELF TEST appears on the display.
Press ENTER.
The Self-Test will print.
Press ON LINE to return the printer to the online state.
