I have a Xerox 6110b. It prints fine a lot of colors. Its print quality is very good to a home printer.

But I'm having problems with some colors, like purple, for example. The printing tones doesnt match :(

Some example:
On screen: []
Printed: []

I'm also havin' problens to reproduce some kind of textures

Texture exemple:
On screen: []
Printed: []

My monitor is calibrated, I already tested in various RGB and CMYK patterns avaliable in the PS and the Printer (one at time), with varios kind of papers, and I dont know more what to do.

I'm sure that this printer are able to reproduce this colors.

I believe that I'm missing something when I create/edit the file/image.

Please, could somebody help me?

...every output device can reproduce a certain range of colors, some devices reproduce far wider ranges than others...

...laser printers are quite often saturated in results compared to an inkjet print and in fact ink jet prints are far superior for color accuracy...

...one area to ensure when printing is that color management is only performed in one area, either in the printer driver or by the application (in your case photoshop), never both...

...you will need to ensure you use a high quality 'laser' guaranteed paper to get the best color reproduction, not your average bond paper. The type of paper used has a dramatic effect on results...

...ensure you have the latest drivers installed, manufacturers update these on occasions and can also have an effect on output results, you can get yours from here:

...your best when printing from photoshop to have photoshop manage the color only, so you will need to hunt around the print driver setup to see if you can disable any color management the driver might be doing...

...in photoshop you also need to ensure you are using the correct profile for the paper type you are using, here is russel brown demonstrating on epson inkjet, but the same applies to any desktop printer really:

...do note however that laser printers aren't as good as inkjet prints as mentioned earlier...

...it is also worth noting that color management is a big area to muscle through, profiling your monitor is a good step but the key to successful calibration and printing is to also profile the output device...

...to achieve that you need further investment is profiling software and measuring hardware, and once that is done you need to keep your output device stable by way of frequent calibration and not changing the paper you used to profile with...

...laser printers are particularly troublesome as they are electrophotostatic devices and to get the image onto the paper has many variables involved...

..paper needs humidity so as not to be dry, and humidity as a bearing on color variation, so to does the toner cartridge as after a while they deteriorate over time, resulting in less saturated results as the density decreases...

...laser printers are a moving target really and the only way is very frequent calibration, sometimes before first print or every couple of hours if not used and at best twice a day...

Thank you so much for the explanation, Andrew.
