I've previously created a browser based application - using asp.net / C#.
This now goes back more than a year.
When this was done there was no 'Print' button available on the reporting tool as used within the asp.net pages.

Have things changed since then?
Does a 'Print' button now exist with newer versions of 'SQL Server Reporting Services' ?

I can only assume we were previously using an evaluation copy as we were doing this the early part of 2005.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

There is a service pack to Repoting Services for SQL Server 2000 that adds a print button to the Report Manager, it works by downloading an ActiveX control used for printing the formatted data.

If I install this service pack on a development machine and build an installation of the (developed) application - does this button then appear on the installed version of the browser based application when then installed on the client site?
Or does this too depend on them having the same service pack installed?

Thanks again.
Steve

I read somewhere that the Report Manager web app was also written in C#

Maybe if you get it the updated Report Manager you can grab a copy of the ActiveX control and use it in your own custom web application?
