I input data on a form then click on a buttom which preview how the Invoices (Access report) look before printing. I currently print off the standard menu bar. I need to save the date to the DB at the same time but there is no Onprint event in which to put my save sql ? On which event do I run my save sql

I don't really want to save the data until I have had a chance to preview the reports

Any Ideas

Thanks

G'day,

Click a report section and you will see the OnPrint event listed in the properties window. Sadly though, the event runs when you preview and/or print so it may not be useful to you.

A totally different option could be a custom toolbar/menu bar for that report. Then the user will have to use your provided button to achieve hardcopy. Your logic behind the button could run your SQL and then the print command...

Hope this helps,

JB

You could use the On Open event of the report. Your code should check first to see if the record has been saved previously and either edit the existing record or ignore or replace.
